Shailesh S Modi, President of the board and Chief Executive Officer

Shailesh heads the fastest growing, small-sized consultancy firm in the region, whose performance far surpasses its size. His vision for the firm is to create and nurture strong relationships while delivering accurate research, which fulfills immediate purpose and is remembered for a long time. Throughout his career at Fourth Vision he has made significant social and economic impact in the western region of India. He worked very closely with CARE, an American NGO, for disaster relief in Gujarat during the 2001 Gujarat earth quake. He has also played a major role in developing the hotel and tourism industry of Gujarat. He has driven the firm to accomplish exigent endeavors in the renewable energy, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. Moreover, he is continuously interacting with several banks, financial institutions and private equity funds to amplify/clarify feasibility/market prospects for projects being put up by FV clients.

Prior to co-founding Fourth Vision, he was the chief consultant at Gujarat Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organization Ltd (GITCO, an ICICI promoted consultancy). He spent 16 years at GITCO designing, evaluating and providing management support to development programs sponsored by public organizations as well as business-plans for mid-sized and large-sized companies. He managed several World Bank funded studies, the most high-impact one being, Strategy and Plan for Industrial Development of Saurashtra (Gujarat). While at GITCO, he managed field research in the Middle East and at Geneva (for International Labor Organization).

Shailesh played a critical role in establishing a joint venture between Sintex Industries Ltd. India and a Thai company to market plastic products in South-east Asia. He has worked in a number of countries including Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Jordan, UAE, Nigeria, and U.K. In addition, he is also a member of the United Kingdom’s Rotary Club. He was invited to the South Wales for study exchange as a member of the club.

Shailesh is also a visiting faculty at many academic/training institutions across India. He has authored two books: Gujarat State Textile Corporation: Working and Closure, Brass-part Industry at Moradabad: A Perspective.

He received his MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.

Dr. Sameer Maithel, Fourth Vision Associate

Sameer is the associate of Fourth Vision and also a director and founder of Greentech Knowledge Solutions. His expertise is in renewable energy and energy efficient technologies for rural households/communities and small industrial applications. He has over 18 years of experience in the energy and environment sectors at ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.) and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute). Sameer has also served as a member in several committees and working groups of Government of India dealing with renewable energy and energy efficiency. Apart from India, he also has experience of working in several other developing countries including Vietnam, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Uganda.

He is a Fellow of World Technology Network and is a member of Shell Foundation Breathing Space Advisory Board.

Sameer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech & Ph.D. degrees in Energy Systems Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
